CINCINNATI (WKRC) — The mothering skills of the Cincinnati Zoo staff are being called upon to help another newborn gorilla.
Kamina was born at the Oklahoma City Zoo last month and was rejected by her mother. She was flown to the tri-state by private plane in September.
Zoo staff will wear hairy vests and will mimic gorilla sounds and mannerisms to get Kamina ready for adoption by an adult female.
Kamina was brought to the Cincinnati Zoo because of the zoo’s success in raising another gorilla who was shunned by her mother.
