hey everyone I'm Alison Lindstrom and you are watching my 30 day series of blogging tips and mom hacks and while I have you here don't forget to sign up for my online blogging course while the enrollment period is still open we only accept new students into the course four times a year now without further ado enjoy today's tip welcome back everybody it is day eleven in this series happy Sunday my tip for you today is you're going to sit down at least today and tomorrow because it might take you a little bit of time and you're going to write out 26 blog posts that you want to write for your blogging business now here is where that random number comes from and there are obviously 52 weeks in the year and we're going to assume that for the next year to really build up your content list you're going to write a blog post every other week now this is a big goal you may not necessarily get to do that I know life gets especially crazy who is gonna write a blog post every other week especially during the holidays or summer vacation but it's just to give you a general list of the content that you really genuinely want to create and and and lay out for your future readers and your blogging business now this tip kind of works and coordinates with day number 6 I think it was where I came out with different blog posts themed ideas so I will link that right up above just tap the eye and you can watch that video if you did not get to see that it had six different ideas for you for you know coming up with blog post ideas and they are blog posts in general but in today's particular tip you're gonna actually sit down and you're gonna write out 26 and this will be a very loose general guideline for the next year as you start to build out that content the reason it's so important to have at least some semblance of an idea of what it is you want to write is one your time is very limited so when you actually sit down to write the blog post you need to kind of already know what it is you're gonna be working on because you don't have a whole lot of time on your hands and you want to kind of be thinking things through already or have already thought them through and so far as like a general outline so that you're ready to the second reason I think it's important to have that list is you are you've got double duty here you know you're raising your family and then you're also building this vlogging business so while you're doing the mundane tasks like folding laundry or cleaning the living room you can look at that list and see that the next blog post you wanted to write was called X Y Z and then as you do whatever task it is or chore you can think about what it is you want to include in that blog post so it kind of just really helps you kind of stay on your toes and and boost that that brainstorming power throughout the entire day regardless of whether or not you're actually working on the blog post itself now coming up with 26 blog post ideas is not the easiest thing to do especially when you're starting out you're not in the habit of thinking of what people want to read or you're not in the habit of kind of picking apart your general topic and pulling something together tweak your biz com has this really cool title generator now my disclaimer for here with this is I don't want you to use this resource as a crutch okay so this is really just to help you get the ball rolling and to help you kind of see what it is you could create in regards to content you know what kind of blog post titles what blog post titles might even look like especially if you're new blogger so with that being said go check out that website and you can type in whatever your niche is and it'll come up with a ton of different titles for you but again don't use this as a crutch it really is just like your very basic generator it's gonna spit out ideas that everybody else is probably getting as well so you can use that as kind of like a baseline take one of those blog post ideas and expand on it a little bit or tweak it a little bit but if you're really having a hard time coming up with 26 ideas that's totally understandable and this resource might help a little bit hey guys thanks so much for watching don't forget to hit that subscribe button and tap the little bell right next to it so we can meet again tomorrow for the next tip bye now

  1. Hi Allison, I appreciate your new series of blogging tips and mom hacks. I do have a question. From what I have been learning, you want to have 10-20 posts on your blog before you start promoting it. Are you teaching that you wait till the end of a year to have enough content to start promoting your blog?

  2. Coschedule Headline Analyzer helps you make click worthy blog post titles…. while you need an idea of what your title should be it helps you improve it for SEO and readership.

  3. Thank you for the video. I did not know about title-generator. Thank you for the information. I believe is giving back so here is another way to get blog post title: https://answerthepublic.com/. Check it out, it is how I got some of my blog title. I appreciate your daily video. It reminds me that I can also work, a bit, on my blog daily.

  4. I've been blogging for a few months now and some posts do really well where others don't seem to generate much interest at all. I was trying to do posts 2x a week but I'm wondering if I'm trying to do too much and spend more time creating one really good post per week. Not sure what a good number is.
