Jump Little Children – Words of Wisdom

Lyrics:
All my father’s legacy is handed down on angel wings
A bittersweet melody is now mine to sing
Every precious memory
And broken-hearted tragedy
Will walk into eternity
but not fade away

If you will go and not return
Leave me some words of wisdom
If I cannot follow anymore
I promise to teach what I have learned
If you will go and not return

How do years so far away
so suddenly evaporate?
Fortune smiles with teeth of jade
and the greediest eyes

How I long for that embrace
The strongest arms and troubled face
Smokey air and awkward grace
that made me feel safe

If you will go and not return
Leave me some words of wisdom
If I cannot follow anymore
I promise to teach what I have learned
If you will go and not return

Who was it that said to me
that heroes will live forever?
And where are they now
now that I’m standing alone?

If you will go and not return
Leave me some words of wisdom
If I cannot follow anymore
I promise to teach what I have learned
If you will go and not return
Leave me some words of wisdom
If I cannot follow where you go
I promise to teach what I have learned
If you will go and not return

  1. NO, they are not like Coldplay. Never, EVER say that again. Maybe the fray, but JLC has been around since the early 90's. So if anything, the fray is like them. Also, JLC has much more talent than any of those bands. Matt Bivens can play like, almost any instrument known to man. Tin Whistle, Mandolin, Accordion, guitar….And both he and Jay are lyrical geniuses. If you like them, though, check out Jay's solo albums, or the side projects of any of the members.

  2. Dock Street theater is back! It is time we got JLC into doing a reunion show…contact any band member you have access too (DO NOT HARASS THEM) and tell them how much they are missed and that you would see them live again or buy a new album!

  3. They're the perfect mix of happiness and sadness.
Think about it, the lyrics are so meaningful, but they kept the beat kind of up-tempo, and ALMOST happy. Perfection.
