the first bit of advice that I would give to a mum going through divorce is not to use the children as a weapon whilst the mum might have feelings of hostility towards her ex the children don't and it's really really important that their relationship with him isn't damaged the second bit of advice that I would give to a divorcing mum is don't let the finances overwhelm them it can be a very daunting task there's a lot of information that you'll be asked for your solicitor can help you sort through that information or sometimes even a friend can help you but take it piece by piece and ask for help when you need it third bit of advice that I would give to a mum divorcing would be not to be bullied into making a rash decision it needs to be well thought out and you need to be comfortable with it so take your time take advice when you need it and don't make any rash decisions my fourth advice to a mother divorcing if there were difficulties in negotiating what should happen to the children when they should spend time with each parent do you consider mediation because it's an opportunity for you to sit down and agree something together and can break a stalemate and help move the process on if there are any mums who need some specific advice on separating then feel free to use my 30 minute free advice and I can do this on the phone or by skype so please feel free to get in touch
